outlook express error

Each time I try to type an email I will type a letter, the cursor disappears
and is followed by a box with chinese characters and an ok at the bottom. I
press ok and the letter that I have type appears. I then can continue
composing the email. I have reinstalled office but continues to occur. Began
after one of the updates from microsoft was installed. how do I fix the
problem?

You should ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup, as this is an Outlook
Newsgroup..different programs.

Do you have the Chinese IME installed? If so, make sure that the IME is
set to English (Alt+Shift) when you want to type English text.

P.S. Outlook Express is not part of Microsoft Office, but Windows /
Internet Explorer.
