Outlook Express error message 10061

When outlook is started i get the message port 110 no socket error 10061
error number 0x800cccoe.
This has suddenly started happening this weekend - I can only get access to
my email through yahoo but not outlook.
Has anybody got any ideas where I can find a solution.n

I don't understand the references to "outlook" and "Outlook Express".
Aren't you using the Windows Mail program on Vista?

That type of error is often caused by interference from a non-compatible
antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs.

If you have Outlook Express you don't have Vista.
