Outlook Express email - music background ?

M

Mary Fowler Leek

I occasionally receive an email that contains a music background that plays when the message is opened. The only sound file I've been able to insert is a midi file. Is this the only file format recognized when trying to create a musical background for email? If so, how does one go about creating a midi file?

My thanks,

Midi and wav are supported. What you would want to do is create a new folder
in My Documents and download midis that you want to that folder. {Right
click>Save target as}. To use a midi in an e-mail, Format>Background>Sound
and Browse to the folder and choose the midi you want.

Do a search. *Download Midis* to find some sites. You can search for a
particular artist, or type of music, or even a specific song.

Here's one site to get you going:
