Through our cable company they just set my with their online service and
installed an HD TV. The techinician told me that I had to use Outlook
EXpress. I have used for many years Eudoral.Pro. Most people have never
heard of it.

My question is, is there any way to get around using OE.?

OE, won't accept my Sister's joke attachments. how can I increase their
limit to allow these to come through? .
that's it for this time but , in my opinion the only thing good about OE is
the newsgroup's are right next door.

The technician is wrong. What he meant was "we don't support anything other
than Outlook Express". You are at liberty to use any mail client you want
to.

Check your Tools>Options>Security and make sure there's NO check mark next
to:
"Do not allow attachments................"

Gee, some people might consider this a selling point if it were true (no
offense to your sister's jokes). You don't get all those buried FWFWFWFWRE
messages and you have a perfect excuse; some people would pay for this. 8^)

However, teaching your sister to copy and paste so she could send things as
messages without attachments would be better anyway. Do her a favor, tell
her what they told you about Outlook Express (even though it's not true) and
show her how to copy the joke to the clipboard by selecting the text and
hitting ctrl-c, then open a new message to the recipients and pasting it in
with ctrl-v. Much nicer to receive. Click too many attachments and
eventually you may click the wrong one (after which you may not click
anything for a while), and it's a lot of needless work anyway. Just my
opinion.

Then she can teach the same thing to a few of the other several million
people who forward messages the same way, and eventually...

There is no reason whatever why you should not use Eudora with a cable
connection. Just don't expect them to support it. Look in OE's Tools -
Accounts - Mail, highlight the one they have set up and in its
Properties note the Servers and username that they have used; then put
them in your Eudora settings. You will need the POP3 and SMTP servers
and your logon details
