Outlook Express doesn't receive photos

I am grateful for all of the help I have received from the thoughtful
members of this news group, but I have still have not been successful
in sending .jpeg images in Outlook 2003 e-mail to recipients using
Outlook Express 6. I have tried both attachments and to embed photos.
I have been trying to send pictures to myself--Outlook to Outlook
Exress and fail every time. I am sending my messages in HTML form and
have tried to adjust e-mail settings in both Outlook and Outlook
Express--nothing works. I recently switched to a Verizon DSL service,
but I don't think that created this problem. Verizon doesn't either.

I received some very complete and technical information meant to help
me with this problem, but I didn't understand most of it. I am looking
for a quick and simple fix for this problem. I really do not know why
these two Microsoft e-mail programs seem to be incompatable where
images are concerned. Is there a practical and easy answer here or am
I expecting too much? I am having trouble realizing that the default
e-mail settings in both programs will not allow me to send photos from
Outlook to Outlook Express recipients.

All I want to do is use MS Outlook to send family photos to my freinds
and relatives. All of whom use Outlook Express, but so far I can't do
that. Is there any help out there?

Just attach the photos to the message. Why does that not work?

Problem is not sending the photos. Problem is receiving them. Default
setting for Outlook Express 6 is to block all attachments.
You can send all the photos you like - if the recipient hasnt changed the
default setting in his or hers Outlook Express, they wont be able to see
them.
A simple-to-follow description on how to change this setting can be found

Why does any one need a /tutorial/ to do "Tools-Options-Security and
uncheck "do not allow......."

Apologies if this is something already covered but what size are the images?
Seems like this problem could be at either end and I use Express more than
Outlook so maybe I can see what is happening without having you go around in
circles again. I don't want to put an email address in the newsgroup so I
will send you one you can use for testing - it is read here by OE and at
work by Outlook so if I get a test picture at work but not here maybe I can
figure out why it's happening.

You can reply to the email address here but it's likely to get lost in the
spam :)
