Outlook Express does not saves a copy of sent messages in the Sent Items folder

When I send a message a copy of that message should be
saved in the " Sent Items folder", it does not. I have
checked the box: "Save copy of sent messages in the Sent
Items folder" in the option window.

Any help?

Sent Items folder is probably corrupt.
Move messages out of Sent Items to a different folder.
Close OE.
Search for "sent items.dbx" without the quotes. Search hidden files.
Delete sent items.dbx.
Restart OE.
