Outlook Express & AOL IM

My daughter downloaded AOL IM recently and I noticed that
when I open my Outlook Express to check Email, the AOL IM
also begins to open. I have looked around the properties
menu in the AOL utilities to uncheck any "start up" link
but so far nothing seems to fix the problem. Has anyone
seen this before and can provide information on how to
correct it.

see if tomsterdam.com mentions it - it is an AIM setting but I don't know
where to tell you to look.

Open up Outlook Express, click on the Tools Menu and
Options. Look at the 4th Option down and you should
see 'Automatically log on to AOL Instant Messenger'. Once
that has been unchecked, AIM should no longer pop up when
Outlook Express is opened.
