I had stored 2000 messages inbox of outlook express
and they all just disappeared. I am receiving new
emails. However those messages that disappeared were
important to me. I have a outlook.pst file with over
54000 KB that may have all those lost emails
But when I click the file a message comes up -
The process cannot access the file because another
process has locked a portion of the file.
What can I do to recover the lost email ?
Thanks

Have you tried to repair the pst file with the program
scanpst. The program should be in the value added folder
on your CD or it is easy to download from the internet.

Good luck.

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, NP asked:

Outlook Express or Outlook? Outlook Express has nothing to do with PST
files.
