Outlook Express 6 keeps freezing

I have microsoft outlook express 6, and recently
everything I try to click an HTML link in an email
message the whole program freezes and won't let me do
anything. Everytime it freezes I have to end the task
through the task manager. I have no idea why it would
start doing this after I've been using it for so long.
Any ides? I have not downloaded anything to update or
anything. Thanks
