Outlook Express 6 Emails to Outlook 2007

Guest

Please help I'm really stuck !

I have .dbx files saved from I think it was Outlook Express 6 on a Windows
XP computer.

This Win XP computer has now crashed and I can't access any data from it.

I have bought a new Windows Vista computer.

I want to import the emails from my saved .dbx files into Outlook 2007 on my
Win Vista computer.

My question is 'How can I do this?'. Step by step instructions would be
really appreciated.

This is not a one step process. OE data first has to be configurec with
Windows Mails (which is the successor of OE). After this you can use Export
from within WM to export to Outlook.

Thank you very much for your reply but please excuse my ignorance ....

How do I start or where can I get Windows Mail from?

Is Windows mail free and will it run alongside Outlook 2007?

It's OK, I've found Windows Mail. I've just got to work out how to configure
it now. I have a Japanese system so things aren't so straight forward for me!

Thank you for your help, I've got a good starting point now.

Which direction are you going, from OE/Windows Mail to Outlook or Vice
Versa? Details, please.
