outlook.exe

When I try to shutdown, I frequently get a window that
says "Outlook.exe not responding"
 
I am having the same problem. I close Outlook and then try to shut down my computer and it says program not responding. If I close Outlook and then go to task manage outlook.exe is still showing as running. I am on Outlook 2003
