Outlook/Exchange Mail Filtering

Hi,

We have e2k and mainly outlook 2000 clients
Wa have a person that want all of his externall email directed to his
secretary. He wants to be able to receive and send internal and send
external emails from his mailbox.
I dont think we can use forwarding as everything will be forwarded, he is
not happy to have the email looking as if it comes from a different address
than his own.
I was looking at Outlook rules so that if he rececives an email not from
*.our.exchange.co.uk I cant see a way of filtering where the source is not
from internal and not sure about a global filter

Any Ideas how this can be acomplished?

Thanks

If you give the secretary send as permission to his mailbox, she can open
the mailbox as a secondary mailbox in her profile and reply from him and no
one will be the wiser. Or she could open his mailbox directly.

Hi Dianne,

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. The person in question does not want any
external emails in his inbox at all. He want them to go to his secretary.
We currently use the send as permissions. But he want internal emails sent
to his mailbox and be able to send internally & externally but no-one to
reply directly to his external emails.

Thanks

So he wants all internal email but wants all external email to go to someone
else? Set up a rule (based on header contains condition: @ ) to forward the
message as an attachment to the secretary and delete it from his inbox (or
more it to a specific folder). Replies should come from his address, not
hers. If you want all replies to come from her address than use an inline
forward instead.

Hi Diane,

That;'s the configuration he already has however he does not want to see/get
any external emails in his inbox at all. He still wants to be able to send
internal & external from his account.

Thanks
