1. ERROR MESSAGE
"Can't open this item. Unable to download item contents.
You must be online to perform this operation."

I am receiving this error message while trying to view a
message. On the File Menu "Work Offline" option is checked
off. I tried to do it explicitly by checking it on and ten
off. Then also the same error message comes. I am not able
to download new mails now.

How to come online.....

2. PERMANENTLY DELETE MESSAGE

When I delete messages [IMAP] it marks them as deleted.
How to parmanently delete the message from the server.

1) Is IE online?

2) You need to purge the IMAP folder to delete from the server - Edit,
purge.
