When creating an outlook email rule based on "specific words" in the subject
(or other strings), on the Search Text screen where you specify the "specific
words", also provide a checkbox for Exact Match.
I have many automated emails with specific subject lines that I want moved
to specific folders. What I do NOT want, however, is for the rule to be
triggered when someone forwards or replies to these emails. When the default
contains search is used (only option!) this is what happens and I end up
missing emails and having to later discover them in the wrong subfolder.
These rules would also run faster and more efficiently with an Exact Match
option.
