Outlook email account settings

How can I import/find the email account settings from a backup on an external
drive?
I used the files & settings transfer wizard to backup all the files on my pc
before formatting the drive and reinstalling windows xp.
I then ran into an error after re-installing Outlook and could not view my
old outlook.pst file, I found out this was caused by some mcafree drivers. I
have now corrected this so that I am able to view all of my old contacts and
emails etc, but I can't work out how to import the email account settings.
There were around 6 pop3 accounts setup, and I really don't want to hunt
around for all the various passwords, pop3 settings etc.
I have located the outlook.srs file within the backup file and tried
importing that but that didn't work and am now stumped as to how I can do
this?
