I am useing windowsXP. I like outlook as my e-mail better
than outlook express. Can I get just outlook for my e-
mail or do I have to have OfficeXP to get it? Thanks
anyone

Outlook 2003 is available as a stand-alone product for $100+.
If you have a Student in the house, check on Office for Students
and Teachers edition ($130), which has Word, Excel, Outlook
& PowerPoint. No previous Office product is required. It can
be installed on up to 3-different PC's.
Just remember that Office 2003 is only compatible with Windows
XP and Windows 2000.

License eligibility requirements are found here:

ok, so if I am going to buy a progam with outlook in it
is it best to get officeXP or is there any outlook that
stands alone I can use? thanks

Yes, Outlook 2003 is available as a single package. In fact
the main office components can all be purchased individually.
However, almost all are $100 each. My local Office Depot
sells Outlook 2003 for $108.
If you need Word processing or spreadsheets then you
move up the "Office Suites", where you get multiple
Office components. Here you can buy an Upgrade if you
own a previous office product. Otherwise, you'll be looking
at a "Full" product which is quite expensive.
Office is available in a number of different configurations.

I think it can be purchased separately. You cannot get it for free.

There are lots of good, free email clients. Pegasus (www.pmail.com) is
excellent, very full-featured, and free.
