Outlook does not remember passwords between sessions

I have just installed Office including Outlook and find that it does not
remember passwords between closing and opening Outlook. Send/Receive during
a session is okay after the first request.

I have re-installed Outlook but this did not cure the problem. I have
installed the programs often before but not had this issue.

Can anyone help?
