outlook distribution lists in excel

is it possible to transfer my distribution lists (the
email addresses in the lists) over to excel. I tried the
import/export wizard but it did not work.

If you save each list as a .txt file, you can edit it a little in Notepad to
remove the DL name from the top, then open it in Excel as a tab-delimited
file.

File | Save As. You pick the file type at the bottom of the dialog.
