Outlook distribution list

Greetings,

The mail server is exchange 2003 Enterprise running on Windows 2003
Enterprise server in a Windows 2000 AD domain (single forest, single domain).
The user is using Outlook 2002 Corporate edition on the local network.

The user was recently switched from using POP3 to Exchange Mode. The switch
went find and they are sending/receiving messages perfectly. The problem is
with a distribution list with about 300 members that was being managed
locally by Outlook before the switch. Now whenever they try to make a change
and save the distribution list, they get the error....

"This distribution list has reached the maximum size for your network e-mail
server. No members could be added."

Is there a way to increase the default distribution list size on the local
Outlook client? I found an article saying to break the single distribution
list into multiple distribution lists.

I would much rather change a "registry setting" or something to increase the
size of the distribution list that can be managed through Outlook or the
Exchange server. The client is extremely sensitive to change and any "behind
the scene" solution would be great.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bob

As far as I know there isn't a registry fix but to keep the DL together you
can nest other DL's in it.

Thanks for the response.

I was hoping for a server-side type solution, but this will work just fine.
