Outlook display problem

I met a strange problem of outlook.
My outlook doesn't dislplay the status whatever I send or receive mail. I
need use mouse to click the inbox to check whether it has mail coming or
outing. For example, if someone send me a mail, my outlook can not diplay it
immediately until I click the inbox or other folder in outlook. It is same
problem when I send a mail. After I click send a mail, the mail go to the
outbox and doesn't to sent item folder until I click the folder in outlook.
p.s. IN outlook 2002 and exchange server.
Can someone answer this question for me. Thanks in advance.

Your firewall is blocking Exchange's UDP packets.
