Outlook Dials up on it's own

C

Candace

My Outlook started dialing up on it's own. When I am not
around, it will dial up and stay online. There isn't an
email up that would make it want to dial in. It didn't
start doing this until today.

You provided no clues for troubleshooting. In you next post, include your
Outlook version, mail account type, connection type and what you changed
just before this started happening.

I suspect the OP has accidentally cleared the check box for "hang-up after
send and receive".

That makes a lot of assumptions.

Probably more than you think. Outlook has been positively schizophrenic in
how it manages dial up connections. No two versions are the same, no two
connection types in the same version are the same. The possibilities are
nearly endless.
