Outlook data migration XP Office 2003 to Office Pro 2007

Not a techie but bit nuts now due to big need to access Outlook data and it
locks up during start-up and migration of data. Just loaded Office 2007 Pro
Plus. All works but Outlook. Will go into migration mode and near immediate
"Not Responding". Checked profile at Control Panel and saw only Outlook so
changed to my correct regular profile. Same problem. "I have fallen and
can't get up!" Won't someone please help me?

Are you using a PST? If so, why are you migrating data? Use File > Open and
point to the PST.
If you're not using a PST, please be more specific about what you mean by
migrating data.
