Outlook custom field for phone number, editable

It would be nice if you could add a name in outlook contacts that you edit,
instead of using the usual, Business, Home, Other. This way I could add my
own description, such as Help Desk, IT, customer service, Spouse cell, etc.
 
Has anyone told you how to add your own description to the home number field?
