Outlook crashes when testing account

When I create a new email account and go to test the setting outlook stops
responding. When I send the error report it says that there is a update to
correct the problem. When I check for updates it says everything is
up-to-date. The error message is: Appnameutlook.exe Appver:11.0.8010.0
Modname:hungapp Modver:0.0.0.0 Offset:00000000. How can I correst the
problem?????

You have applied all service packs and patches? Have you tried a new mail profile?
