outlook crashes when I close an email

After using Registry Mechanic, Outlook now crashes appr every 3rd or 4th
time I close out a message (i.e. I click to open it, read it then close it).
I also use Neo Pro with Outlook but this has not caused problems in the past.

what is Registry Mechanic?
Is this a programm deletes entries out of the registry?
