Outlook crashes when exporting

D

Denis

In an effort to share a calendar, I am trying to export my calendar. I set
it to export to a CSV file, and gave my Desktop as the destination. As soon
as the export begins, Outlook crashes, and nothing is exported. I sent the
auto-report to Microsoft, and Outlook restarts, but it just happens again,
and I am not give a reason why, or how I can prevent this. Any idea what I
have to do to export a Calendar?

What happens if you select a folder instead of the Desktop? The desktop
could be locked or you have software preventing Desktop changes.

No difference. I can save things to the Desktop, but just to do it, I tried
to direct to a folder in C:. Same result - immediate crash.

I would suggest doing Help, Detect and Repair. I recall some instances
of Export -> CSV wanting to install a convertor, and that may be the
issue. Can you Export to say an Excel file without issue?

Can't export to Excel either - another crash.

I tried the Help > Office Diagnostics. Everything passed except for one
item - it sent me to a MS page that told me that my problem was analyzed, and
that a solution was available. I clicked on the "View Solution 1" link,
which was a dead link, and took me to the "cannot be viewed" error page. So
that was nice.

FWIW, I have been having this problem for a while, so I did a
uninstall/reinstall of Office 2007 last week, which has obviously had no
effect on this issue.

Does the crash occur with any/all calendar folders, any or all date
ranges? Maybe a corrupted entry or a problem with the folder.

I only have the one, main Calendar folder. No other folders.

FWIW, I am right now working on doing the latest Office Update, so we'll run
that and see if things change.

If still folds up, just create another temp calendar folder for testing
, pop in a couple new bogus appts and give it a try. If that works, try
copying over all your appointments and then see if it still works.

No luck. I created a new "Test Calendar" with a single appointment in it,
and we crash again when I try to export that one.

Also, I did the latest Office Update. Still crashing. Ran Diagnostics
again, which again found a single solution - "Install Office Update", which i
have already done, to no apparent benefit.
