Outlook content blank when opened but visible in Autopreview?

I received an email from a friend at freeserve.co.uk. In Outlook I can see
the first 3 lines in 'Autopreview' but when it I open or save or forward it,
the content is blank. I have had trouble with receiving email from this
person to my web-mail account, but have had one success from them previously
into my homebased computer with Outlook 2000. They say no-one else has
trouble with their mail. My incoming protocol is POP3.
