Outlook connector

My Live Hotmail account has suddenly stopped working through Outlook Connector.
Initially I had a message saying that I needed to download the Connector,
which had already been installed and working for months. I did this and then
received a message saying I needed to be a subsrciber. I thought mail and
contacts through Outlook Connector were free to all users. I have downloaded
and re-installed the Connector a number of times and deleted and added my
Hotmail account but it still doesn't work.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this has suddenly occurred and what I
can do to correct it?
 
I have the exact same problem and tried the same fixes without success.
Hoping if someone can help they can reply to us both.

Many reports indicate that the beta V12.1 Connector will work.
