Outlook Connector Rules

I've got Outlook Connector installed with Office 2007, and it works fine with
my hotmail account. The only problem is I've got lots of rules set up, but
they only fire if I do it by hand. Is there a way I can get this to happen on
download? (The main problem is I need to turn on EVERY ONE OF THE BLASTED
RULES SEPERATELY when I'm trying to run them. MAJOR PAIN!!!!)

Actually, it already works, and works fine when I run it by hand. That's not
the problem. It just isn't working when the e-mail is downloaded. Also, I
wasn't aware that you could set rules on hotmail accounts. Can you point me
at a doc?

They will work manually on any store folder but they won't work at
send/receive time for Hotmail accounts.

I'm not aware of a doc for this. It's pretty self-explanatory;
In your web based Inbox choose Options-> More Options-> Automatically sort
e-mail into folders and follow on-screen instructions.

OK, I found it; thanks! I might have to look into writing my own filtering
program, as this behavior is beyond lame: I can't think of any reason running
the rules COULDN'T be triggered from a download, and the lack of a "select
all" on the "Run Rules Now" function is simply inexcusable. As an SDET (who
formerly worked at Microsoft), not only would I have bugged the heck out of
it, but would never have signed off. Also, the UI from Hotmail is lamer yet
(if that's possible), as I can't seem to create a rule from an e-mail. I'm
sure this isn't your fault, but I find I must vent to SOMEONE...

You're welcome :)

I don't even work for Microsoft ;-)
You can post it here as a suggestion though so other people can vote for it
as well. Rules support for Hotmail accounts is probably more something for
the Live team as the rules need to be synced back to Hotmail. All in due
time I'm sure. Adding Calendar support for free accounts is quite something
already which was added in the latest BETA release of the Outlook Connector.
