Outlook Connector is available only to subscribers

After years of using Outlook 2002 to access my multiple e-mail accounts (MSN
and Hotmail), I suddendly, and for no apparent reason am getting the message:
"Outlook Connector is available only to subscribers. Do you want to
subscrive now?"

Whether I click 'Yes' or 'No' ... nothing happens and I'm left being able to
see only exisiting (old) e-mails in my accounts but Outlook will no longer
download new messages ...

Is this service no longer free?
What am I missing?
What am I doing wrong?
How do I fix this?
HELP!!

Outlook access to free hotmail and msn accounts ended back in September of 04.
