Outlook connector/ contacts list broken

P

Pierre

Hello I am using outlook connector to sync my Windows mobile / Windows Live
and Outlook 2007 contacts & emails.

The pb is since i have done this, the contacts are no longer linked with
arriving emails (still works on my mobile)/ I tried the repair installation
but no success..

Any ideas to restore the links with the contacts database.

Thank you for your help !!

Can you describe this in more detail? What do you mean by contacts being
linked to email?

Thank you Brian for helping.

Simply when i double click the sender contact in the email I receive, it
only shows a simple dialog box with the email information but no longer the
complete contact infos (picture, phones, etc infos) from outlook (how it used
to be). This is what I mean by broken link between the email sender
information and outlook contact information of that same sender.

Any ideas how to restore the relation ?

Again tks!
Pierre.

Is the title of the dialogue with less information "E-mail Properties"? This
is what you'll see for external addresses.

Correct, it is the email properties dialog box with only the external adress
info.
How can I have the Contacts full properties window box instead (how it used
to be & how outlook normally operates) ?

Tks again..

I believe the fuller contact windows appear only for MAPI-hosted contacts like
the Global Address List available when using Exchange as the back end or
contacts that are in your delivery location Contacts folder (i.e., that you
added to an outgoing message). Outlook can't show you information for what
the sender uses for the sender address when it's an external address on an
incoming message. I'll have to test my Live Mail contacts when I get home.

Live Mail contacts behave like Exchange-hosted contacts. If they're in the
Contacts folder, they'll open the contact's record. If they're not, you'll
get the E-mail Properties dialogue.
