Outlook Connectivity

Microsoft Outlook e-mail client computers that connect to
a Microsoft Exchange Server, through Microsoft Windows
2000, Terminal Server Edition, are not able to resolve the
Exchange Server or the mailbox name. You can PING the
Exchange Server by the IP address and NetBios name.
The administrator is able to connect to the mailbox but no
regular users can.
I was working for about a year before it failed.
It is my opinion that it is a RPC, profile, or registry
issue.
Any help would be welcome
Thanks

As an admin, try running regmon or filemon from
www.sysinternals.com while a normal user tries to access
their mailbox. Maybe there is some permissions problem
that is causing a normal user to be denied access.

Oh, if you give a normal user temporary admin access, can
they then access their mailbox?

Buy adding administrative rights I am anle to connect to
the server -if I remove the rights I cannot - This implies
to me that there is a .dll or a file that needs to have
full access. I will start with the systm32 dir and post my
findings.

Well, you could also have incorrect permissions on the
registry keys. Either way, I would take a look at regmon
or filemon, since either of those programs will really
help you to find the problem.
