Hi All,

yesterday my pc was shut off due to a power failure. On restarting the
system i skipped the disk checks. A couple of applications (including firefox
and Outlook) starting giving messages regarding some files being corrupt in
the user profile.
Now i can't get any Outlook addins to work in this profile.
I tested by creating a new profile and these same addins are working fine in
outlook on the newer profile.
Can anyone suggest how to fix outlook on the original user profile.

Regards,
Nabeel

If they work in the new profile, why not just use the new one? You can
still access all the old data in the new profile.

because in that case i would lose all the other profile settings, the
QuickLaunch Icons ... the wallpaper, the startup programs and a million
other things :|
:(

its a problem with the windows profile.. i tried a coupel of different
outlook profiles staying in the same windwos user profile... all exhibit the
same erroneous behavior!

Log into the profile having problems and delete all temporary files,
especially the Temporary Internet Files folder. Then log in using the
built-in Administrator account (you may have to use Safe Mode) and make a
copy of your non-working user profile. Delete the profile from Windows and
allow Windows to delete the files. Create the profile again. I don't
recall if the new profile's files will be created at this point, so if not,
log out of Administrator and log in as the new user. Log out and back in as
Administrator. Copy into the new user folder path the files from the old
folder tree that you want to keep. You should then be able to log back in
to the new profile and have access to the files the old user had.
