Outlook closes when minimized

Each time that I go to minimize Outlook 2003, it closes the program. Any
ideas? No settings have been changed recently and this started about three
days ago.

Is the Outlook icon still visible in the system tray or is the Outlook.exe
listed in Task Manager

No it doesn't. Instead of minimizing to the taskbar, it's minimizing to the
system tray. Right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and uncheck
"Hide When Minimized".
