I just when through the whole process of sending an email to support, but
when I submitted it, I got an "application error" message. So I don't think
it was received.
Outlook 2003 closes immediately when I open it.
I've tried restarting this machine.
This started today after I accidentally hit a shortcut key that opened a new
email msg window. I don't know which key; I was trying to hit cntrl+N.
I closed that email window in the normal manner, I think.
Thanks!

Thanks very much for your response. Before I received it I contacted MS
phone support and it turned out that there was a problem with an Adobe
Acrobat add-in. I was on the phone with them for a total of about 40 minutes.
The mystery remains...why now? I've had Acrobat on my machine from the
beginning.

Hi

I have just had a similar probelm after updating Acrobat to V7.0.5

Outlook now opens and then imediatly closes. I have uninstalled Acrobat,
but this hasn't worked.

Are there any more details on what the adobe plugin was that caused the
error ?

many Thanks

Jon

I have much the same issue. When I open Outlook, it immediately closes. I did
install Adobe Acrobat reader before trying to configure Outlook.

What was your solution?

Mudshark,

Can you tell me what the acrobat fix is? I have scoured the web trying to
solve this problem. I have found many people who are experiencing the same
thing but no solutions.
