Outlook can't find Exchange Server

I have a client that cannot open up Outlook on any computer he logs into, but
has no problem logging into OWA. This says to me that there isn't a problem
with his mailbox or server. Is there any kind of logging I can turn on
without having to first get into Outlook? Everytime I try to open his
mailbox I get a message that his Exchange server is down or unavailable.
This is incorrect however, because he can get into OWA just fine. Are there
any registry keys or anyway I can turn up some startup logging for Outlook?

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Have you tried going thru the control panel and define a new mail account
for this person? (Don't copy the existing one. Create a new one since you
are trying to rule out minor registry corruption in the user profile
section.)

Yes, have tried a new mail profile and have had the person log into a totally
separate computer....

If the same behavior on multiple computers, what sits between person and
server than can block communications? (firewalls, access control lists on
routers, .etc)
