Outlook Calendar

I Recently installed WindowsXP plus MSOfficeXP on my home
computer and chose Outlook Express as my default email
program. I also elected to utilize the Calendar feature
associated with MS Outlook as a personal events reminder.

What action is needed to allow the daily 'calendar'
reminders to pop up on my desktop each morning when I
restart (refresh) my computer? As it now exists, I have
to manually open Outlook and click on the 'calendar' icon
in order to access my daily reminders.

Do I need to make 'Outlook' my default email program
instead of 'Outlook Express?

You must have Outlook running in order to receive reminders.
