outlook calendar and task reminders not working

Paul Rouse

Hi,

We run exchange 5.5 and outlook 2000.

I have a user who's reminders for appointments and tasks do not pop up at
all. He is able to post appointments in his calendar - which is in the
default location so he doesnt get the normal

"The reminder will not appear because the item is not in your Calendar or
Tasks folder."

Error message.

They simply dont work ? All other users are fine ?

Any ideas for things to try/check ?

Thanks

Paul

If this is the only calendar in the Mailbox, and you are
sure the delivery point is set for that Mailbox:

You could perhaps copy all data from the calendar to a pst,
delete the calendar using the Ffolder utility, then use the
"/ResetFolders" switch to rebuild the system folder.

Look on Sue Mosher's Slipstick site for Ffolder Utility:

Ffolder Utility: Utility to rename or delete "special"
Outlook folders such as the Calendar, Tasks, Inbox, and
Contacts. VB source code included.
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#ffolder

Look on technet for the information on how to rebuild the
Calendar system folder with the "/ResetFolders" switch:
