Outlook bug - send receive on exit

Hello,

Section: Outlook Options --> Mail Setup --> Send/Receive
Setting for group "All Accounts"
Perform an automatic send/receive when exiting - ticked

Has anyone noticed that in outlook when you setup this option it will only
send/receive and synchronise with your exchange server on exit if you choose
File -> Exit from the program menu.

If you close outlook by clicking the "close" X on the top right of the
application window, Microsoft outlook does not do any send/receive upon exit?

Is this meant to happen or is this a bug? ...How many people actually close
the outlook app by using the file menu -> exit anymore

Works as it should for me with a POP3 account and when clicking the X in the
top right to close Outlook.

How many and what type of accounts do you have configured and in what build
version of Outlook? Help-> About
