Does anyone know if Microsoft is going to integrate a
Bayesian filter into Outlook and Outlook Express?
Understandably, OE shouldn't have the latest technology so
Outlook should have the Bayesian filter while OE gets
Outlook's old filtering program.
I know that Outlook has the junk mail filter, which is Ok
if you want to go through every piece of junk mail and
mark it as bad, but what about a smart filter with AI?
Aren't we to the point where we can start integrating
basic AI into more programs?
I mean it's the 21st century, we were supposed to be
driving hover cars by 2000. What are our scientists doing?
Tv scientists get to do the cool stuff, make time
machines, big robots that destroy worlds, ray guns, hover
cars, warp drives... Where's my warp drive and ray gun? I
still drive my toyota that runs on fossil fuel, how cool
is that?
Seriously though, there are smart people in the world that
could make this junkmail problem cease to exist, but we
never use their intelligence. This is why people started
Sourceforge and other open-source programs. Smart people
work better together for the benefit of everyone, but if
one of their programs is used for profit then a percentage
of the profit should go to them.
Thank you, I've done my venting.
