Outlook, autocomplete regularly erases all previously typed names

In Outlook, the autocomplete function regularly erases all previously typed
names and has to be rebuilt over time. Why does this happen? Can it be
connected with the regular change of my password?

Which password?
It is well known that the NK2 file starts anew in 3 circumstances:
1. You create a new Outlook profile.
2. The NK2 file gets marked as read only (many AV programs do this).
3. The connection between your Outlook profile and the NK2 file becomes
corrupt.
