Is there a way to set up an automatic reply to incoming email messages
received in an Inbox? For example, Your message has been received
 
Yes, you can create a rule for this. Depending on your environment (Exchange
or POP3), you may have to leave Outlook on for the rule to run.

If you're a home user connecting to an ISP, create a rule to reply but
beware of responding to SPAM. In this instance, you would have to leave
Outlook running for the rule to process.

If you're a in a business environment connecting to an Exchange server, you
can create a server side rule to run for you but replies to the internet may
or may not be disabled. You would contact your Exchange Admin to find out.
Alternatively, you could use the Out of Office Assistant.
