outlook attachment

Can anyone please help? I tried to open an attachment, but it prompted me
with a message "This object was created in Outlook. This application is not
available to open this object. Make sure the application is properly
installed and that it has not been deleted, moved, or renamed."

Not your fault. Have the sender resend the message with an attachment in a
format you can open.
