I just got a new system with Vista and I cannot respond back to emails from
work. I get the emails and I can read them, but when I repond, I get a RED X
in a white box in the body of the message. It lets me put in the address and
a subject, but I can't send anything..
HELP!
Thanks.

Sounds like your using OWA and not Outlook. Tell your mail admins to keep
their Exchange server up-to-date. They are a lot of patches behind.

Note that this is the wrong nesgroup to discuss OWA issues as OWA is part of
Exchange and not Outlook. The correct newsgroup is exchange.clients

I am using Outlook XP.. we used to have an address with OWA, but they
switched it last year and went to OUTLOOK. The patches may be the answer. I
was just wondering whether or not there was a conflict with VISTA. I tried a
different browser and it worked perfect. IE 7 I guess was not compatible
with OUTLOOK,but Morzilla Firefox 2 worked perfect! Go figure...
Thanks for your help, I will ask Admins to check their updates..
Later...

If you are in a browser you are using OWA not Outlook. Note that FF doesn't
deliver all the OWA functionality IE provides and has a different UI.

Hi again:
I see what you are talking about with OWA.. Outlook Web Access.. that does
come up when I log out... FF worked great for that project, so I will just
use it for that.. I agree the User Interface is different, but it will serve
my purposes until I can figure out how to get Admins to update the OWA
files... you would think that would be a no-brainer for the IT folks,
but......
Thanks for your help...

Should be a no-brainer indeed but depending on the environment it could take
a while to implement. However this update has been released quite a while
back and could have been implemented already ;-)
