Popfile rocks!

I'm curious - has anyone here compared the different freeware spam filters?
I've used SpamPal for a couple of weeks now, and it seems to work pretty
well. Is there any difference in the effectiveness of the variety of
programs using Bayesian filtering?

I've used most of them but Popfile has them beat. I installed it just
two weeks ago and already it is catching 98% of my spam and still

Only 98% accurate ? Never mind. It will soon pass 99%. Mine has
been 99%+ for ages.

There is a down side to this however. I got my first spam email in
my inbox the other day for a number of weeks (months ?). Very
traumatic ! :)
improving. It has a learning curve. I chose Popfile over the other
Bayesian filtering programs because it seemed easiest to configure.

I think K9 is pretty easy too BUT not as accurate.

Regards, John.

We've just installed OfficeXP with Outlook, and have discovered a freeware
piece called SpamBayes, which uses Bayesian filtering. We are starting to
roll it out to the rest of the company. Takes a bit to configure, but if
you get stuck, email me at (e-mail address removed) for help.

With best regards, John H.. E-mail: (e-mail address removed)
