outlook and msn messanger

Everytiem I start my Outlook, MSN messager launches too. Could anyone tell me
how to avoid msn messanger starting?
I have gone to msn messnager and unchecked where it says insall with windows

You do not state Outlook version - in any case try:
Outlook>Tools>options>other tab>instant messaging (on bottom) -uncheck.

I am using outlook express version 6

also I do not see the other tab and instant messaging at bottom

Outlook express is not Outlook and is not covered here in this Office forum.
You should post in a Windows or OE newsgroup. In OE, go to Tools, options,
general tab and uncheck Automatically log in to messenger.

For Outlook Express: Outlook express>Tools>Options>General tab> Clear Auto
log on to Win Messenger
