I am unable to connect to send email from Outlook 2003 to
an IMail Server. This is a new problem, I was able to do
this prior but within the last week I cannot send email. I
am able to connect to the server and download email.

Thanks....

Thanks for the information but I did all those steps
prior. But will re do them just to make sure. Could there
be something on the computer itself to prevent it from
connecting to the server to send email? A firewall setting
or applied patch that could be causing the problem? This
is a new issue I have been able to email from this
particular computer for weeks and then one day I could
not.
Any other suggestions on where to look?

Thanks....

Additional Information

I can get email from the server but cannont send.
Also this is the error message. Find outgoing mail server
(SMTP): Outlook could not connect to the outgoing mail
server(SMTP). The problem could be the server name or
port, or your server may not support SSL....

I am not using SSL, server name hasn't changed

Could you try the following steps and see if you are receiving any response
from the mail server

telnet <POP server name or IP address> 110

and as well an smtp test and see if you are able to connect to the server

have you enabled any firewall rules on the connection or any persoanl
firewall s/w instaled ???

telnet <POP server name or IP address> 25

let me know

Thanks and regards
