Hi,

I have set up only one mail service in Outlook 2003. For some reason I have
two sets of folders, one is called "Personal Folders" and the other comes
from the Hotmail account. I am using Outlook as a small CRM system, tracing
who I need to contact when, who said what and when etc.

The problem is that when I get incoming mails, they are put into the hotmail
inbox. But I am using the Journal or at least the Activity function to track
all incoming and outgoing mails, phone calls etc. Everything I send out
shows up in the Activity tab. But I have to copy incoming mails into the
Personal Folder inbox before they show up in the Activity tab of the
contact. I want to see incoming as well as outgoing mails.

How can I do this?

Thanks

Mark,

You can change the location of where new mail is delivered. Click Tools, Options, Mail Setup, and click E-mail Accounts. View or Change your existing account, and you will see the option of where to store the incoming e-mail.

Hope this helps.

Hotmail is always delivered to the hotmail folders -you can't change it or
use rules to move them. If you had a pop account (available with MSN Premium
subscription) they would be delivered to your personal folders.
