Outlook and Hotmail

I have been using Outlook2003 with Hotmail for years and years and have just
gone to Outlook2007 but Hotmail doesn't work.

How do I get this to work with my free Hotmail account (Gmail works fine).
Have MS taken this feature away and want more money to enable it again. Not
really fair if that is the case as I have been using 2002/2003 and hotmail
fine, spend a heap of money on 2007 and a feature needs to have more money
spent to unlock it.

BTW, Hotmail (paid) is almost AUD$40, (US$32) here, not worth the price

Only paid subscriptions are supported. If you had it working previously
without a subscription you were one of the lucky few.

hotmail is doing away with http access... if it won't work, then there is
little you can do to make it work.

That is not fair.

life rarely is... if you are still using windows xp, it might still work in
OE. Vista doesn't support http access to hotmail/msn, even for paid
accounts.

I wonder if I use the File and Settings Transfer program for Vista that it
will get the hotamail account and set it up - my guess is yes as it should
get all account data from my old outlook. I will give that a try.
If it doesn'y work I will dump hotmail and use something better.

that doesn't make sense. You are saying the Vista doesn't support accessing
hotmail via http (internet browser)!!
If you mean via Outlook then there is a bit a false advertising by
Microsoft/hotmail because they are advertising the you can use outlook and
outlook express with paid subscriptions of hotmail - it doesn't say not vista
or outlook2007!
