Outlook and AOL not getting along

I have been using Outlook 2003 and AOL e-mail for the last month. I would
occassionally get an error message, and once I was unable to send/receive for
about 3 hours. However, since 3pm on March 15 I have been unable to receive
any e-mails in Outlook, though I can still send. The error message is always
the same:

Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on AOL.' reported error
(0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null) from the IMAP
e-mail server for account AOL. Error: Unable to connect to the server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

When I log onto AOL my e-mails seem to be working normally. AOL sent me to
Microsoft, who sent me to Dell, who couldn't help.

Turn on the troubleshooting log so you can see what commands are being sent
by Outlook to the AOL server and what AOL's server is sending back. Just
because AOL's webmail interface works doesn't mean their IMAP server is
working.

And what did it say regarding the commands and returned data/status? Or is
this a sporadic problem that you are waiting to happen again?

No, everything's working fine here. How are you connected to the Internet?
Is it possible your Internet provider is blocking your access to the IMAP
and SMTP ports?
